El Concejo Interuniversitario Nacional en su último plenario resolvió reclamar la inmediata aparición con vida de Santiago Maldonado. El 1° de agosto de este año tuvo lugar un operativo de la Gendarmería nacional contra un reducido grupo de personas que se encontraba manifestando en la ruta nacional N°40 en apoyo del reclamo de la comunidad Pu Lo en Resistencia, provincia de Chubut;  desde esa fecha, se encuentra desaparecido Santiago Maldonado, quien formaba parte de ese reclamo, tal como ha quedado establecido en la causa.

que el hecho está siendo investigado por la Justicia Federal bajo la carátula de desaparición forzada, lo que implica la sospecha del ocultamiento por parte del Estado de su desaparición;

que el Comité Contra la Desaparición Forzada de las Naciones Unidas consideró que la desaparición de Santiago Maldonado exige la acción urgente del Estado para localizarlo, para aclarar su desaparición y para garantizar que esté bajo la protección de la ley, como así también identificar a los responsables.
